There are a variety of gifts that can be made to support Deaf Action Center and help us continue providing the crucial services and programs desperately needed by the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in our community.
Please review the range of opportunities below and find a gift that best suits your interests and resources.
For more information about any of these gift options, please contact our Director of Development at angela.johnson@dactexas.org or (214) call 521-0407 (voice or TTY).
Endowments
An endowment is a gift that continues giving. Deaf Action Center invests your gift in a restricted account, using only the annual income from the account as an ongoing source of support for whichever purpose you specify. Endowments may be setup in your own name, or in the name of someone else as an exceptional act of honor. We have many ways of granting appropriate recognition to you and your family, remembering you and your generosity in perpetuity.
We respectfully ask you to consider an endowment to the Deaf Action Center, to continue one or all of the following services for the North Texas Deaf and Hard of Hearing:
• Apartments for Deaf & Hard of Hearing
• Advocacy & Deaf Resources
• Interpreting Services
• Education Programs
• Hard of Hearing Services
• Literacy & Independent Living Programs
• Senior Citizens Center & Senior Programs

Honor and Memorial Gifts
A gift to Deaf Action Center can be a gift to someone important to you. Gifts can be made "in honor of" or "in memory of" a loved one or a friend, and even to mark a special occasion—in honor or in memory of a parent on Mother's Day or Father's Day, or in honor of a child to celebrate their birth, graduation, or an achievement.
Honor and Memorial gifts can also be recognized with the naming of a Deaf Action Center Building, Service Center, Program, Park, Courtyard, Senior Center, Grants, Scholarships, Prizes, or what is agreed upon by both parties, in memory of your loved one.
Honor and Memorial Gifts can be made in many ways, through:
• Direct Gifts
• Wills
• Trusts
• Life Insurance
• IRAs
• Retirement Plans
Please don't be reluctant to give a gift because you do not desire personal recognition for yourself or someone else. By allowing Deaf Action Center to recognize your gift, you not only support a worthy cause, you also inspire philanthropy in others.

Gifts of Real Estate:
A gift of a private residence, farm, ranch, vacation home, or condominium is an asset to Deaf Action Center, and will help us continue to provide programs and services to the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in our community. Not only is it a testimonial to your support of this work, it can be a significant tax deduction (amount depends on the property and your age).
